New heavy-duty tractor from Marktoberdorf is called Fendt 942 Vario
On time for the 2019 première of the new Fendt 900 Vario large tractor, the most recent tractor generation from Marktoberdorf is also ready at WIKING. As the première prototype, with 400 HP, the 942 Vario has become the new flagship of the series. It is deemed to be the untouchable top model for the new 900 Vario series introduced in July 2019. The new series with five models between 296 and 415 HP was developed from the ground up, and is similar externally to the innovative 1000 Fendt. The new 900 is larger than its predecessor, but more compact than its big brother. At about 11,800 kilos it is around 900 kilos heavier, and the wheelbase has grown by about 10 centimetres. This is also evident in the powerful 1:87 scale model, which enjoys the proven fine detail of WIKING agricultural models. This applies to the striking main visuals, as well as to the interior of the high-tech cab. Whoever takes a look at the bonnet quickly recognises the high quality of printing – even the newly designed Fendt lettering and type designation is legible. But that is not all. The cab enjoys a level of detail which even allows the front and rear windscreen wipers and silvered headlamps to be recognised. In reality, a nine litre engine designed especially for Fendt by MAN throbs under the bonnet of the Fendt 942 Vario.
